Steps to Resolve
- Power Cycle and Check Connections
- Step 1: Power off the device.
- Step 2: Plug and unplug the three USB cables.
- Step 3: Click Settings > Restore to Factory Settings to reset the printer. After the printer is restored to factory settings, please check if the printer continues to display the overheating error.
- If the problem persists, proceed to the next step.
- Diagnose Nozzle or Hot Bed Abnormality
- Nozzle Abnormality: If diagnosed, replace the Print head. Follow the instructions here: How to replace the extruder/print head for the M5 printer.
- Hot Bed Abnormality: If diagnosed, replace the Marlin board. Follow the instructions here: How to Replace the Marlin Board.

- Immediate Action
- Step 1: Immediately power off and shut down the device.
- Step 2: Contact after-sales support for further assistance.
Note: If the nozzle equipment is abnormal, the nozzle temperature will continue to rise, potentially causing a smoke accident. If the hotbed equipment is abnormal, the hotbed temperature will continue to rise to about 120°C.
- Diagnose Based on Error Code
- Nozzle Abnormality: If diagnosed, replace the Print head. Follow the instructions here: How to replace the extruder/print head for the M5 printer.
- Hot Bed Abnormality: If diagnosed, replace the Marlin board. Follow the instructions here: How to Replace the Marlin Board.
