How to Replace the Power Module

Identifying Issues:

  1. No power output.
  2. The power supply voltage was incorrectly set to 230V/115V, causing power supply burnout.

Replacement Method:

  1. Remove the Bottom Cover:
    1. Lay the M5 machine on its back.
    2. Use an H2.0 hex wrench to remove the 7 bottom cover bolts (green mark).
    3. Use an H2.5 hex wrench to loosen the 4 foot pad bolts (red mark).

Disconnect Wires:

  • Open the small cover plate on the bottom cover.
  • Use an H2.0 hex wrench to release the TYPE-C wire fixing bolt, and pull out the TYPE-C wire and Z-axis motor wire.

Remove the Old Power Supply:

  • Open the bottom cover plate.
  • Use a large Phillips screwdriver to remove the input and output wires fixed on the power terminal (green mark in the figure below). Pay attention to the wire order.
  • Use an H2.5 hex wrench to remove the 4 screws fixing the power supply.

Install the New Power Supply:

  • Secure the new power supply to the base with an H2.5 hex wrench.
  • Fix the input and output wires on the power terminal with a large Phillips screwdriver in the same order as removal.
  • Set the voltage switch to the corresponding voltage for your country (230V/115V) (marked in red in the figure below).

  1. Reconnect Wires and Reassemble:
    1. Use an H2.0 hex wrench to fix the bottom cover bolts.
    2. Use an H2.5 hex wrench to fix the foot pad bolts.
    3. Plug in the Z-axis motor wire and TYPE-C wire (ensure the Z-axis motor wire and TYPE-C wire correspond to "R/L").
    4. Lock the TYPE-C wire retaining bolts with an H2.0 hex wrench.
    5. Install the bottom cover panel back in place.
