Identifying Issues:

1. Hot bed not heating
2. Hot bed displays error

Replacement Steps:

1. Remove the Bottom Cover:
   1. Lay the M5 machine on its back.
   2. Use an H2.0 hex wrench to remove the 7 bottom cover bolts (green mark).
   3. Use an H2.5 hex wrench to loosen the 4 foot pad bolts (red mark).

Disconnect Wires:

• Open the small cover plate on the bottom cover.
• Use an H2.0 hex wrench to release the TYPE-C wire fixing bolt, and pull out the TYPE-C wire and Z-axis motor wire.

Remove the Hot Bed Wires:

• Open the bottom cover plate.
• Use an H2.0 hex wrench to remove the hot bed ground wire.
• Use a small screwdriver to remove the 24V power cord and hot bed wire from the Marlin board, and unplug the thermistor wire (pay attention to the wire order).

Remove the Old Hot Bed:

• Place the machine upright, remove the PEI board.
• Use an H2.5 hex wrench to remove 4 hot bed fixing bolts.
• Use an H2.0 hex wrench to remove 2 hot bed wire fixing bolts.

1. Install the New Hot Bed:
   1. Place the new hot bed on the Y-axis slider.
   2. Use an H2.5 hex wrench to install 4 hot bed fixing bolts.
   3. Use an H2.0 hex wrench to install 2 hot bed wire fixing bolts.
2. Reconnect Wires:
   1. Lay the M5 machine back.
   2. Use an H2.0 hex wrench to install the hot bed ground wire.
   3. Lock the Marlin board with a small screwdriver, connect the 24V power cord, hot bed wire, and plug in the thermistor wire.
3. Reassemble the Bottom Cover:
   1. Use an H2.0 hex wrench to fix the bottom cover fixing bolts.
   2. Use an H2.5 hex wrench to fix the foot pad fixing bolts.
   3. Plug in the Z-axis motor wire and TYPE-C wire (ensure the Z-axis motor wire and TYPE-C wire correspond to "R/L").
   4. Lock the TYPE-C wire retaining bolts with an H2.0 hex wrench.
   5. Install the bottom cover panel back in place.
