Z-offset compensation function of M5C

Why Do We Need Z-Offset?

Reasons for Z-Offset Adjustment

  1. First Layer Printed Too Close:
    1. The nozzle scratches the hotbed or presses down too much, causing the first layer to wrinkle.

First Layer Printed Too Far:

  • The nozzle is too high from the hotbed, causing the first layer to not adhere properly or the filament to separate.

First layer good quality:

Operation Steps

  1. Adjust Z-Axis Offset:
    1. Open the AnkerMake mobile app.
    2. Navigate to Control > Z-Axis Offset.
    3. Click the + or - buttons to raise or lower the Z-axis offset according to the first layer printing results.

  1. Print and Observe:
    1. Print the leveling model again and observe whether the first layer quality meets the "First Layer good quality" image.
    2. If the first layer is still too high or too low, adjust again according to step 1.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please contact us.
