How to Fix Loose Threaded Rods on the M5C

Repair Procedure for Loose Threaded rods on M5C

1. Remove the Bottom Cover

  • Step 1: Lay the M5C printer on its back.
  • Step 2: Remove the bottom cover and unplug the Z-axis motor wires.

Remove Z-Axis Fixing Bolts

  • Step 1: Remove the eight Z-axis fixing bolts.

Expose and Fix the Coupling

  • Step 1: Remove the bottom cover plate of the Z-axis.
  • Step 2: Move the Z-axis threaded rod down to expose the coupling.
  • Step 3: Tighten the fixing screws at the coupling.
  • Step 4: Check whether the motor or threaded rod is loose. If loose, fix the screws again.

 

4. Reassemble the Printer

  • Step 1: Reinstall the Z-axis motor wires.
  • Step 2: Reinstall the bottom cover plate of the Z-axis.
