How to Replace the X-axis Belt of M5C
Fault Phenomenon:
- The X-axis belt is severely worn, affecting the printing quality of the equipment.
Replacement Steps:
Disassembly:
- Loosen the X-Axis Belt:
- Use a 2.5mm hex wrench to loosen the X-axis belt.
- Pull the belt out of the V-wheel fixing bracket of the extruder and then pull the X-axis belt out of the X-axis synchronous wheel mounting bracket.
Open the Front Shell:
- Open the front shell of the left and right shoulder pendants.
Remove the Back Shell:
- Use a 2.0mm hex wrench to unscrew the fixing bolts of the back shell of the left shoulder pendant.
- Use a 1.5mm hex wrench to unscrew the fixing bolts of the Type-C wire and the shoulder of the left shoulder pendant.
Disconnect Cable:
- Turn off the printer power and unplug the nozzle assembly cable terminal on the back of the left shoulder pendant.
- Remove the back shell of the left shoulder pendant.
Remove Belt:
- Pull the left end of the belt and pull it out.
Installation:
- Insert New Belt:
- Place the new belt with teeth facing inward and insert it from the left side of the X-axis belt adjuster idler.
- Use an inner hex wrench to press the front end copper sleeve of the belt to guide it through smoothly.
Guide Belt Through:
- Pass the belt through the X-axis V-wheel from the V-groove of the X-axis aluminum material, put it on the X-axis motor synchronous wheel, and pass it through the V-groove at the bottom of the X-axis aluminum material.
- Secure Belt:
- Clip the copper sleeves at both ends of the belt into the X-axis V-wheel mounting bracket.
- Reinstall Back Shell:
- Install the back shell of the left shoulder pendant and plug in the nozzle assembly cable terminal on the back of the left shoulder pendant.
- Tighten Screws:
- Use a 2.0mm hex wrench to tighten the back shell fixing screws of the left shoulder pendant.
- Use a 1.5mm hex wrench to tighten the Type-C cable and the fixing screws of the left shoulder pendant shoulder.
- Fasten Shells:
- Fasten the left and right shoulder pendant shells.
- Adjust Belt Tightness:
- Use a 2.5mm hex wrench to adjust the tightness of the X-axis belt.
- Test Movement:
- Turn on the printer and move the X-axis to ensure proper installation.
