How to Replace the V Wheel of X Axis of M5C
Fault Phenomenon:
- X-axis V-wheel wear is serious, affecting the printing quality of the equipment.
Replacement Steps:
Disassembly:
- Remove Fixing Bolts:
- Use a 2mm hexagonal wrench to remove the 4 fixing bolts of the back plate of the extruder.
Loosen X-Axis Belt:
- Use a 2.5mm hexagonal wrench to loosen the X-axis belt adjuster at the left through hole of the left shoulder pendant.
- Pull the belt out of the X-axis V-wheel bracket.
Remove Remaining V-Wheels:
- Use an 8mm open wrench to unscrew the remaining upper two lock nuts.
- Remove the two V-wheels.
Installation:
- Install New V-Wheels:
- Take three new V-wheels and install the upper two V-wheels on the back plate of the extruder.
- Install the back plate of the extruder into the X-axis V-groove.
- Tighten the lower V-wheels as well.
- Adjust Eccentric Nut:
- Use a 10mm open wrench to adjust the eccentric nut of the lower V-wheel to tighten the V-wheel groove.
- Ensure the V-wheel fixing bracket can slide smoothly left and right without shaking or being too tight.
- Fix X-Axis Belt:
- Fix the X-axis belt on the back plate of the extruder.
- Use the 2.5mm hexagonal wrench to adjust the X-axis belt adjuster bolt to the appropriate tightness.
- Secure Extruder:
- Use a 2mm hex wrench to tighten the four fixing screws on the back plate of the extruder.
