How to Replace the Throat cooling Fan for the M5C
Conditions for Replacement:
- The throat cooling fan is not working, causing insufficient heat dissipation and nozzle blockage.
- The fan is making abnormal noise.
Disassembly:
- Turn off the printer power.
- Unlock the Type-C cable and Teflon tube buckle.
- Pull up and remove the front and top shells of the extruder.
- Use a 2.5mm hex wrench to unscrew the four fixing bolts of the throat cooling fan.
- Unplug the throat fan terminal.
Installation:
- Insert the new throat fan terminal.
- Align the installation holes of the throat fan with the bolt holes on the throat heat sink and use a 2.5mm hex wrench to tighten the four fixing bolts of the throat fan.
- Reattach the front and top shells of the extruder by pulling them down into place.
- Insert the Type-C cable and Teflon tube into the buckle.
- Turn on the printer, connect to the mobile app, and click "Preheat" to set the nozzle temperature above 50°C to observe if the throat fan starts working.
