How to Replace the Power Supply for the M5C
When to Replace the Power Supply:
- Short Circuit Damage: The equipment short circuit caused the power supply to burn out.
- Voltage Mismatch: The power supply voltage level is not suitable for the local mains voltage, resulting in overvoltage damage.
Disassembly:
- Turn off the device and unplug the power cord.
- Pull down the cover plate on the base and pull out the two Z-axis motor terminals.
- Use a 2.5mm wrench to unscrew 4 foot pad fixing bolts and 5 bottom case fixing bolts, then remove the printer bottom case.
- Use a cross screwdriver to unscrew the power cord on the main board and AC socket.
- Use a 2.0mm wrench to unscrew the two power base fixing bolts.
- Use a 2.0mm wrench to unscrew the power supply bracket bolts on the left and right power supplies.
Installation:
- Take out the new power supply and set the voltage level of the power supply to that of your region (110v-240v)
- Use a 2.0mm wrench to tighten the power bracket bolts on the left and right power supplies.
- Use a 2.0mm wrench to tighten the two power base fixing bolts.
- Use a cross screwdriver to tighten the power cord on the main board and AC socket.
- Cover the bottom shell and use a 2.5mm wrench to tighten the 4-foot pad fixing bolts and 5 bottom shell fixing bolts.
- Insert the two Z-axis motor terminals and cover the cover plate on the base.
- Plug in the power cord and turn on the device
