How to Replace the Model Cooling Fan for the M5C Printer
Conditions for replacement:
- The model cooling fan is not functioning, resulting in insufficient cooling for the model.
- The fan is making an abnormal noise.
Disassembly:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the Type-C cable and the Teflon tube clip.
- Lift and remove the front and top covers of the extruder.
- Use a 1.5mm hex wrench to remove the two bolts securing the model cooling fan.
- Disconnect the fan's signal cable.
Installation:
- Connect the signal cable to the new model cooling fan.
- Use a 1.5mm hex wrench to tighten the two bolts securing the new fan.
- Reattach the front and top covers of the extruder.
- Secure the Type-C cable and Teflon tube in their clips.
- Turn on the printer, start printing a model, and check if the model cooling fan activates correctly after the second layer is printed.
