How to Replace the Model Cooling Fan for the M5C Printer

Conditions for replacement:

  1. The model cooling fan is not functioning, resulting in insufficient cooling for the model.
  2. The fan is making an abnormal noise.
 

Disassembly:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Disconnect the Type-C cable and the Teflon tube clip.

  1. Lift and remove the front and top covers of the extruder.

  1. Use a 1.5mm hex wrench to remove the two bolts securing the model cooling fan.

  1. Disconnect the fan's signal cable.

Installation:

  1. Connect the signal cable to the new model cooling fan.
  2. Use a 1.5mm hex wrench to tighten the two bolts securing the new fan.
  3. Reattach the front and top covers of the extruder.
  4. Secure the Type-C cable and Teflon tube in their clips.
  5. Turn on the printer, start printing a model, and check if the model cooling fan activates correctly after the second layer is printed.
