How to Replace the Marlin Board for M5C
When to Replace:
- Equipment short circuit causes the Marlin board to burn out.
- Marlin board electronic components are faulty.
Disassembly:
- Unplug the power cord.
- Pull down the cover plate on the base and disconnect the two Z-axis motor terminals.
- Use a 2.5mm wrench to unscrew the 4 foot pad fixing bolts and 5 bottom case fixing bolts, and remove the printer bottom case.
- Use a cross screwdriver to unscrew the hot bed wire and Marlin board power cord.
- Disconnect the antenna, USB, button, Y-axis motor, and hot bed thermal signal cable terminals.
- Use a 2.0mm wrench to unscrew the 5 fixing bolts of the Marlin board and remove it.
Installation:
- Align the screw holes of the Marlin board with the ground alignment screw holes and tighten the 5 fixing screws with a 2.0mm wrench.
- Reconnect the antenna, USB, button, Y-axis motor, and hot bed thermal signal cable terminals.
- Use a cross screwdriver to tighten the hot bed wire and Marlin board power cord.
- Cover the bottom shell and use a 2.5mm wrench to tighten the 4 foot pad fixing bolts and 5 bottom shell fixing bolts.
- Insert the two Z-axis motor terminals and cover the cover plate on the base.
- Replace the QR code sticker by removing the scanned QR code on the back of the right Z-pillar and replacing it with a new QR code sticker.
- Plug in the power cord and turn on the device.
