How to Replace the M5C's Air Guide

When to Replace:

  1. Deformation or scalding of the air guide.

Disassembly:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unclip the Type-C wire and the Teflon tube clip.

  1. Remove the front shell and top shell of the extruder.

  1. Use a 1.5mm wrench to unscrew the 4 fixing bolts of the left and right model fans.

  1. Disconnect the signal terminals of the left and right model fans.

  1. Use a 2.5mm wrench to unscrew the four fixing bolts of the throat cooling fan.

  1. Disconnect the throat fan terminal.

  1. Pull down and remove the air guide.

Installation:

  1. Install the left and right model fans on the new air guide and use a 1.5mm wrench to lock the four model fan fixing bolts.
  2. Place the air guide assembly with the model fans onto the heat sink. Align the threaded holes of the throat cooling fan and the air guide member heat sink, and use a 2.5mm wrench to tighten the fixing bolts of the throat cooling fan.
  3. Reconnect the model fan and throat cooling fan terminals.
  4. Reattach the front shell and top shell of the extruder.
  5. Insert the Type-C wire and the Teflon tube into the buckle.
  6. Start the printer and begin a new print job.
