How to Replace the Hotend Silicone Sock for M5C

Conditions for replacement:

  1. The silicone sleeve is dirty, which affects its appearance.
  2. The residual filament on the silicone sleeve cannot be cleaned, preventing normal use.

Disassembly:

  1. Turn on the printer and open the AnkerMake app, then click "Preheat."
  2. After preheating is completed, use diagonal pliers to remove the silicone sleeve (Warning: Do not touch the silicone sleeve with your hands as it will be hot).

Installation:

  1. Turn off the printer and wait for the nozzle to cool below 30°C or wait for 5 minutes.
  2. Insert the new silicone sleeve onto the heating block (ensure that the handle edge on the silicone sleeve faces outward).
