How to Fix the Vertical Lines on Print Exterior on M5C
Features and Description
Visible vertical banding lines appear on the surface of the model.
Reasons, Diagnoses, and Solutions
- High Printing Acceleration and Jerk Speed:
- Diagnosis: Check the speed and acceleration parameters through Expert > Speed to ensure they are within the recommended range.
- Solution: Reduce the printing speed and acceleration.
Low Accuracy of the 3D Model File:
- Diagnosis: After importing the 3D model file, preview the model to determine its accuracy.
- Solution: Reduce the resolution of the sliced file through Expert > Quality > Resolution. If the effect is not significant, modify the precision of the 3D model file through the drawing software (increasing the precision will increase the file size).
Filling Protrusion with Excessive Overlap Rate:
- Diagnosis: Periodic repetition of overall vertical lines on the model. Check whether the parameter is 25% of the recommended value through Strength > Infill/wall Overlap.
- Solution: Gradually increase the Strength > Infill/wall Overlap parameter and check whether the vertical lines on the model surface are reduced. Note that if the value is too small, the infill will not contact the model walls.
Loose Belt or V-Wheel:
- Diagnosis: The belt or V-wheel may become loose after long-term use, leading to decreased X/Y axis motion accuracy and poor print quality.
- Solution: Adjust the belt and V-wheel on the X/Y axis to the appropriate tightness to ensure good print quality. Refer to the following resources:
