How to Fix the Auto-Leveling Error for the M5C Printer
Cause of Failure:
When leveling an exception, the AnkerMake App will display a pop-up window as shown in the figure below. There are several possible reasons:
- Z-axis motor abnormality (motor itself, motor wire looseness, Marlin drive).
- Marlin data transmission timeout.
- Point data is abnormal.
- The strain gauge sensor signal line is loose.
Solution:
Follow these steps one by one:
- Clean the Nozzle and PEI Board:
- Wipe the nozzle and PEI board clean. Ensure the nozzle has no residual material, and the PEI board has no models or leftover consumables.
- Check the Z-axis Motor Wire:
- Ensure the Z-axis motor wire is not loose.
Check the Strain Gauge Sensor Signal Line:
- Ensure the strain gauge sensor signal line is not loose.
Update the Firmware:
- Make sure the firmware is up to date.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and turn it back on.
Restore Factory Settings:
- Use a 1.5mm hex wrench to press the reset button in the small hole next to the USB port. Hold for 3 seconds until you hear a beep, then release.
- Re-level the Printer:
- After completing the above steps, re-level the printer and confirm the leveling result.
If the above steps do not resolve the problem, please contact us.
