How to Fix Top Layer Holes or Gaps on M5C
Features and description
There are gaps and holes in the top layer of the model. For more information, refer to How to Fix Spots and Scars on the M5C Printer's Print Model.
Reasons, Diagnoses, and Solutions
Insufficient Top-Level Extrusion (No Need to Consider When Using Simple Mode)
- Diagnosis: Check whether the top-level extrusion parameter in Studio is set to 1 (100%) through Expert > Quality.
- Solution: Set the top-level extrusion to 1 (100%) or increase it appropriately.
Too Few Top Layers to Cover the Top Holes and Gaps (No Need to Consider When Using Simple Mode)
- Diagnosis: Check the number of layers in the top shell. Go to Studio > default is ≥ 4.
- Solution: Set the number of top layers to 5 or increase the number of top layers appropriately.
Low Infill Density Parameter
- Diagnosis: Check the infill density in Studio through Expert > Strength > Fill to see if it is ≥ 10%.
- Solution: Set the infill density to 10% or increase the density appropriately. Note: When the infill density is 100%, it creates a solid workpiece.
