How to Fix Curled and Rough Corners on M5C
Features and description
Warping at model corners
Reasons, Diagnoses, and Solutions
The Nozzle is Too Close to the PEI Board, and the Filament is not Extruded Uniformly
A. The Leveling Process is Affected by External Interference, Causing a Bad Bed Mesh
- Diagnosis: The first layer has ridges or is too thin.
- Solution: Perform automatic leveling through Auto Level. It is recommended to clean the outside of the nozzle and PEI board before automatic leveling.
B. Z-axis Offset Problems
- Diagnosis: When the first layer is printed, the entire model layer thickness is thin.
- Solution: Manually increase the Z-axis compensation using Z offset. During the printing process, adjust the Z-axis compensation through the marked part on the printing interface (negative value reduces the distance from the PEI board, positive value increases the distance from the PEI board) by ±0.05 increments until the first layer printing effect is satisfactory.
Local Overheating During Printing Causes Part of the Model to Warp (Common with ABS, PETG, and Other High-Temperature Materials)
- Diagnosis: Check whether the model warping appears at the corner. The speed is lowest during corner movements (deceleration and acceleration stages), making warping more likely at the corners.
- Solution: Check the temperature in the filament settings to ensure it is suitable for the printing material. Reduce the nozzle temperature by 5-10°C or increase the hotbed temperature. Use a skirt to increase the contact area of the first layer. Refer to the material roll specifications for print temperature and hotbed temperature.
High Infill Density, Large Model Size, or Excessive Number of Walls Causes Stress Contraction Warping
- Diagnosis: Check the slice infill density through Expert > Strength > Fill; check the number of walls through Expert > Strength > Wall Loops (for a 0.4mm diameter nozzle, in normal mode, recommend 3 walls, wall thickness 1.24 mm).
- Solution: Reduce the model infill density, reduce the number of model walls, or replace the
If none of the above methods solve the problem, please contact us directly through us and provide logs (APP side through Me > About > Upload Log, device side through Setting > Upload Log), G-code, STL model, and photos of the issue for analysis.
