Assemble and Use the M5C Printer’s Display

Preparation:

  • M5C Printer
  • M5C Small Screen

 

Step 1: Boot Up the M5C Printer

  1. Turn on the printer.

Step 2: Assemble the Small Screen

  1. Connect the Cable to the Small Screen: Attach the cable to the small screen.
  2. Connect the Cable to the USB Plug of the PCBA: Insert the other end of the cable into the USB plug on the PCBA.

 

Step 3: Plug the Small Screen into the M5C

  1. Use the Correct USB Port: Insert the small screen into the USB port shown below. The other USB port is reserved for connecting a USB stick.

Step 4: Check the Firmware Version

  1. Version Description:
    1. If the firmware version is 3.1.24 or above, you can use the small screen directly after plugging it in.
    2. If the firmware version is below 3.1.24, connect the small screen to the printer first, then upgrade the firmware through the APP.

To Check the Machine Version:

  • Click on "About Device":

Check the Machine Version:

  • Navigate to the "Version" section to see the current firmware version.

Step 5: Upgrade the Printer

  1. Prepare for the Upgrade:
    1. Ensure the small screen is connected before starting the upgrade.
    2. Do not plug or unplug the small screen or turn off the printer during the upgrade process.
  2. Upgrade Process:
    1. Click on "Firmware" and follow the prompts to download and install the upgrade.

After completing the upgrade, the small screen should be ready for use with the M5C printer.
