Before printing the model, we need to slice the three-dimensional data of the model to generate a G-code file. This G-code file is then transferred to the printer for printing, resulting in the solid model we need.
Approaches to Obtaining 3D Data
- 3D Modeling: Create a 3D model using software such as SolidWorks, Creo, ZBrush, 3ds Max, etc.
- 3D Scanning: Obtain 3D model data by scanning a physical object, modify it as needed, and then print it.
- Model Library: Search for and download models that meet your needs from large 3D model libraries, such as the AnkerMake App model library or Thingiverse.
Model Slicing
- Open AnkerMake Studio slicing software.
- Import the 3D model to be printed (supports STL/OBJ formats).
Slice the model using default parameters.
Export the G-code file to a USB flash drive for printing.
Model Printing
You can print using a USB drive, the AnkerMake App model library, or AnkerMake Slicer online printing.
1. USB Printing
1.1 Copy the target G-code slice file to a USB drive. 1.2 Turn on the printer power. 1.3 Insert the USB drive into the USB port of the device.
1.4 Open the AnkerMake App, select Device > Print > USB > Target G-code slice file, and wait for the device to complete the print task.
2. AnkerMake App Model Library Printing
2.1 Turn on the printer power. 2.2 Open the AnkerMake App, select Explore > Model Library > Target Model > Target G-code File > Print, and wait for the device to complete the print task.
3. AnkerMake Slicer Online Printing
3.1 Turn on the printer power.
3.2 Open the AnkerMake Studio slicing software.
3.3 Import the 3D model to be printed (supports STL/OBJ formats).
3.4 Slice the model using default parameters
3.5 Transfer the G-code slice files to the 3D printer for online printing.
3.5.1 Click "Print" to log in to your AnkerMake account.
3.5.2 Select the device, print, and wait for the print to finish.
