Purifier P1 — Purification Performance & Certification

Applicable Scenarios

The Purifier P1 uses internal recirculation filtration and does not need to vent outdoors, making it suitable for fully enclosed, windowless spaces or environments where the printer cannot be placed near a window.

If you have a window or opening that allows ventilation outdoors, you may also choose the Exhaust Fan Kit, which vents gases directly outside.

Filtration System

The Purifier P1 features a 4 kg high-density modified activated carbon filter and an industrial-grade HEPA 13 filter. Its 6-layer composite structure and multi-layer parallel pleating design increase adsorption capacity and provide a gas contact area of 8.4 m², enabling stable and efficient capture of gases and particles.

SGS Certification

The Purifier P1 (eufyMake Purifier P1) has been tested by the internationally recognized SGS laboratory and meets laboratory-grade air purification standards. SGS is a globally recognized third-party testing and certification organization headquartered in Switzerland, with operations in more than 140 countries worldwide. Its test reports are internationally recognized.

Why Home Air Quality Monitors May Give Inaccurate Readings

Some users may use home air quality monitors to evaluate purification performance, but their readings may not accurately reflect the Purifier P1's effectiveness. This does not mean the purifier is ineffective. Instead, inaccurate readings may result from the technical limitations of some home air quality monitors.

The Purifier P1's purification performance has been verified through professional testing by eufyMake and third-party testing and certification by SGS.

Home VOC monitors typically use low-cost MOS (Metal Oxide Semiconductor) sensors. When gas comes into contact with the sensor surface, it causes a change in electrical resistance, which built-in algorithms convert into a displayed TVOC value. This is an indirect estimate rather than a direct measurement of VOC concentration.

As a result, these monitors have several limitations:

  1. They do not directly identify VOC types: TVOC represents a mixture of multiple volatile organic compounds, and different VOCs can produce very different responses from the same sensor. Home sensors are highly sensitive to alcohol but much less sensitive to acrylates, the main VOC component in UV printing, which can cause readings to differ significantly from the actual concentration.

  2. Severe cross-interference: Non-target factors such as alcohol, perfume, cleaning agents, cooking fumes, changes in humidity or temperature, moisture from breathing, and changes in airflow can cause readings to rise or fluctuate unexpectedly, resulting in false positives or missed detections.

  3. No standard calibration: Most home monitors lack standardized gas calibration procedures and traceable calibration records. Their accuracy may also drift over time after leaving the factory.

  4. Poor accuracy: Actual measurement deviation can be significant, and displayed readings may differ from the true concentration by several times.

How Professional Detectors Work

Professional-grade TVOC detectors use PID (Photoionization Detector) sensors. A UV lamp emits high-energy ultraviolet light that directly ionizes VOC molecules in the air, and the concentration is calculated by measuring the resulting ion current.

Compared with home monitors, professional detectors provide direct measurement, faster response times, higher accuracy, and the ability to distinguish compounds.

Measured Conclusions

We compared the performance of a home air quality monitor and a professional PID detector in the same environment. The results consistently demonstrated three limitations of home monitors:

  1. Inaccurate: Readings from home monitors and professional equipment in the same environment can differ by more than tenfold, meaning home monitor readings may not provide a reliable reference.

  2. Unable to detect changes accurately: After the Purifier P1 is turned on, the TVOC accumulation rate drops by approximately 80%, demonstrating a clear purification effect. However, home monitors may barely reflect this change because it falls within their detection limitations.

  3. Unstable: When tests are repeated under identical conditions, home monitor readings may change in opposite directions. Two home monitors may also frequently produce contradictory results.

We recommend using professional detection equipment, such as a PID detector, or the SGS test report as the basis for evaluating purification performance rather than relying on a home air quality monitor.

 Yes. The Purifier P1 has been tested by the internationally recognized SGS laboratory. It removes up to 99.54% of TVOC over 6 hours and 99.99% of PM2.5 over 2 hours. In addition, the HEPA 13 filter captures 99.97% of 0.3 μm fine dust particles.

Q: Will purification performance decrease as the filter ages?

 Even after 300 hours of use, the peak TVOC increase remains below 1 mg/m³, compared with below 0.5 mg/m³ with a new filter. Replace the filter promptly when required to maintain optimal purification performance.
