When you need to perform detailed, region-based processing on an image, the Cutout function lets you extract specific areas and place them on separate layers. This enables precise control over different regions of the image and supports advanced workflows such as multi-layer printing and localized effect application.

Operating Steps
1. Start the Cutout function

Import your image into eufyMake Studio

Click the image to select it.

From the top toolbar, click Cutout.

The software will automatically analyze the image and enter Cutout editing mode.
2. Select an Extraction Mode
The Cutout function provides two selection modes. Choose the one that best fits your image and editing needs.
AI Selection Mode

Click AI Selection.

Click Add, then click the area of the image you want to extract

The software will automatically recognize and select the target area.

To remove part of the selection, click Remove, then click the area you want to exclude.
Tip: AI Selection works best for subjects with clear boundaries, such as people, products, logos, or icons.
Brush Mode

Click Brush.
-
Select Add brush, then paint over the area you want to extract.

Select the Remove brush, then paint over the areas you want to exclude.

Use the size slider to adjust the brush diameter.
Tip: Brush mode is ideal for fine edge adjustments or selecting irregular shapes.
3. Create a New Layer

After completing your selection, click OK or Apply.

The software will generate a new layer containing only the extracted area.

This new layer can be edited independently and has effects applied separately from the original image.
Precautions
-
Selection refinement: AI Selection is effective for quick subject detection, while Brush mode is best for detailed edge refinement. Both modes can be used together.

Preview before applying: Use the preview area to confirm that the selected region is accurate before finalizing.

Undo support: If the result is not as expected, you can use Undo or restart the selection process at any time within the Cutout interface.
