This document outlines the reasons and requirements for keeping the printer powered on and precautions for shutting it down during long periods of non-use. Please read the following information carefully.
Maintaining Power Requirements
📢 To ensure proper use and maintenance of the printer, please keep it powered on during operation.
The device must remain powered on at all times during use - do not unplug the power supply after printing. Keeping the printer powered allows it to perform regular automatic cleaning and maintenance cycles that protect critical components.
⚠️ Important: If the printer is not kept powered on as required, the print head may become damaged. This damage may be irreparable, and the print head and related components may need to be replaced.
Shutting down and storing the device
1. Device Shutdown Operation
⚠️ Attention:
Do not unplug the power supply to shut down the printer. Improper shutdown may cause damage to the print head, and such damage is not covered under warranty.
We do not recommend turning off the device or cutting off the power supply. Keeping the printer powered on ensures regular maintenance and helps protect the print head.
If you are certain that the device will not be used for an extended period and need to shut it down:
a. Press and hold the power button (located next to the power cord) for 5 seconds.
b. Confirm that the device has entered maintenance mode.
c. Wait approximately 15 minutes while the printer performs automatic maintenance.
d. Once the device status in the app shows “Performing Maintenance,” it is safe to disconnect the power cord.
2. Storage Requirements After Shutting Down the Device
a. If the device will not be used for an extended period, store it in its original packaging. If the original packaging is unavailable, use a replacement box of similar size and quality. Ensure the device is stored in a dry, dust-free, and away from light.
b. The recommended storage temperature is 5–35 °C.
c. To maintain print head health and prevent ink path blockages, it is recommended to run a print at least once per month.
3. Equipment Transportation Requirements
a. Perform a proper shutdown following the procedure above, ensuring the printer enters maintenance mode.
b. Remove the ink cartridges and the cleaning cartridge.
c. Disconnect the power supply only after completing the above steps.
d. Remove and separately pack the printing platforms or printing accessories
⚠️ Note: You don't need to remove the cartridges for short-distance moves (e.g., room-to-room). However, for long-distance transport (such as via vehicle), always remove the ink cartridges and the cleaning cartridge to prevent leaks and ensure safety.
Accessory storage requirements
1. Ensure that the print platforms, rotary printing accessory, and other components are stored flat and securely.
2. Store accessories in a spacious, stable area to prevent accidental drops or impact damage.
3. Avoid storing in environments with high temperature, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
