Laminating Machine: Heating Indicator Abnormality

Fault Phenomenon

The Heating indicator is an important status indicator for the laminating machine’s temperature control system. When an issue occurs, it may present in one or more of the following ways:

  1. Heating indicator does not light up:The indicator shows no response after the preheating function is started.

  2. Heating indicator remains constantly on:The indicator stays lit continuously after preheating has completed.

  3. Heating indicator flashes abnormally:The indicator flashes irregularly or unexpectedly.

  4. Heating indicator and Status indicator flash simultaneously:Both indicators flash at the same time and are accompanied by a buzzer alarm.

  5. Heating indicator color is abnormal:The indicator displays an unexpected or incorrect color.

Possible Causes

  • B-Film not initialized: B-Film installation has not been completed. This condition takes priority over the preheating command and prevents heating from starting.

  • Other device faults present: Existing faults, such as a film blockage alarm, prevent the preheating process from starting.

  • Preheating function failure: The preheat button or the associated control circuit is damaged.

  • Power supply issue: Abnormal power supply to the heating system.

  • Indicator light failure: The heating indicator LED itself is damaged.

  • Temperature anomaly: An abnormal temperature condition has been detected.

Troubleshooting Process

1. Check the Status of B-Film

  • Confirm that B-Film is correctly installed.

  • Check that the B-Film indicator light is steadily green.

  • Confirm that B-Film has completed the initialization process.

  • If B-Film is not correctly installed, complete the B-Film installation before proceeding.

2. Check Device Status

  • Confirm that the Status indicator light is operating normally.

  • Verify that there are no other active fault alarms.

  • Ensure the device is in a normal standby state.

Preheating Function Test

  1. Start the preheating function

    1. Short-press the preheat button to initiate preheating.

    2. Observe whether the heating indicator responds.

    3. Monitor whether the preheating process runs normally.

    4. Pay attention to any abnormal noises or unusual odors.

  2. Monitor the preheating process

    1. Observe the color and behavior of the heating indicator.

    2. Under normal conditions, the indicator should change from flashing to steadily lit.
