Introduction
Reviewing ink consumption and printing time before and after a print job can help you better estimate printing costs, plan your workflow more effectively, and compare different design options or printing parameters.
eufyMake studio provides both pre-print estimates and post-print statistical data, covering the entire printing process.
Before Printing: Check Estimated Ink Consumption and Time
After you complete your design and are ready to start printing in eufyMake Studio (PC) or the eufyMake App (mobile), the system will automatically generate estimated information for the current print job on the Ready to Print page.
On this page, you can view:
-
Estimated ink consumption for the print job (broken down by color channel)
-
Estimated printing time
eufyMake Studio
eufyMake App
The estimated data is calculated based on factors such as:
-
Design content
-
Canvas size
-
Printing mode
-
Number of white ink layers
This information can be used to:
-
Confirm that sufficient ink is available before printing
-
Compare ink usage and printing time between different designs or parameter settings
Note: Estimated values are for reference only. Minor differences may occur during actual printing due to device status or required system operations.
After Printing: View Statistical Ink Consumption and Time
Once a print job is completed, the system displays statistical data on the Print Complete page.
On this page, you can view:
-
Actual ink consumption for the print job
-
Actual printing time
eufyMake Studio
eufyMake App
These values reflect the results after the print job has fully finished. They are suitable for:
-
Recording the actual cost of a single print
-
Providing reference data for future, similar print jobs
Note: Statistical data is calculated based on system records and may vary slightly depending on the operating condition of each device.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
-
Why is the estimated ink consumption different from the actual ink consumption?
The estimated ink consumption shown before printing is calculated based on the current design and printing parameters.
During actual printing, the printer may perform necessary calibration or stabilization operations, which can result in small differences between estimated and actual ink usage. This is normal.
-
Why can the printing time vary when printing the same design multiple times?
Even when using the same design file, printing time may vary slightly due to factors such as:
-
Whether additional pre-print priming is required
-
Differences in the current operating state of the printer
Under normal conditions, these variations do not affect final print quality.
-
Which ink colors are included in the ink consumption calculation?
Ink consumption is calculated separately for each supported color channel, such as: C / M / Y / K / W / G
For designs with heavy white ink coverage or multiple white ink layers, white ink consumption is typically higher.
-
Can this data be used to estimate printing costs?
Yes.
-
Estimated data before printing is useful for quickly determining whether a print job can proceed.
-
Statistical data after printing is more suitable for tracking and analyzing actual printing costs.
For cost comparison or long-term usage analysis, it is recommended to rely on the data shown on the completed print pages.
